Science Fairs
FWQA sponsors judges at Science Fairs throughout the metropolitan area. Teams of judges attend Science Fairs for junior and high school students awarding first, second, third and honorable mention awards. Judges focus on projects related to environmental science or engineering and particularly projects that focus on water quality or water resources. It is tremendously fun and rewarding to engage young people on their science projects and encourage them to continue their interest and research on scientific topics.
FWQA invites first place winners to attend our annual awards luncheon. This provides another opportunity to engage these students and inspire them to continue their interest and studies in science and engineering. Parents of these students have told me that the awards luncheon is one the most meaningful events for their sons and daughters.
